Hello everyone, welcome to this A1 English listening practice video. Today I wanna talk about my favorite place. My favorite place is a small island near my home. It is very special because it has a beautiful beach and a lot of trees. I like to go there to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The sea is clean and I can swim there. Sometimes I see birds flying over the water. It makes me feel happy and calm.

The island is not very big but it has everything I need. There is a small bridge that connects the island to the mainland. I like to walk across the bridge and listen to the sound of the wind. It feels like music to me. The sky is always blue and I can see the sun shining brightly. I also like to sit on the sand and watch the ships passing by. It is a great way to spend time alone or with friends.

这座岛不算大，但却有我需要的一切。有一座小桥连接着小岛和大陆，我喜欢走过这座桥，聆听风声——对我来说，那声音就像音乐一样动听。天空总是湛蓝的，阳光明媚耀眼。我也喜欢坐在沙滩上，看着船只来来往往。无论是独自前往，还是和朋友同行，在这里度过时光都十分惬意。

One day I met a handsome man on the island. He was playing music on his guitar. I stopped to listen because the music was very nice. He smiled and said, "Hello, would you like to listen?" I said, "Yes, please." He played for a while and then we had a conversation. He told me he comes to the island every weekend to play music. I thought it was a great idea because the island is a perfect place to relax and enjoy music.

有一天，我在岛上遇到了一位帅气的男士，他正在用吉他弹奏音乐。我停下脚步聆听，因为那音乐实在太好听了。他笑着问我：“你好，要不要来听听？”我说：“好呀，麻烦了。”他弹了一会儿，之后我们聊了起来。他告诉我，他每个周末都会来岛上弹琴。我觉得这主意太棒了，因为这座岛正是放松身心、享受音乐的绝佳去处。

Another time I saw a group of people having a picnic. They had a lot of food, like sandwiches, fruit and drinks. I was hungry so I bought a sandwich from a nearby store. It was delicious. I also bought a coke and sat down to eat. The people near me were friendly and we started talking. They were on holiday and had come to the island to enjoy the sun. I told them about the bridge and the beautiful view. They said they would go and see it after lunch.

还有一次，我看到一群人在岛上野餐。他们带了很多食物，比如三明治、水果和饮料。当时我有些饿，就去附近的商店买了个三明治——味道真的很棒。我还买了一罐可乐，坐下来享用。旁边的人都很友好，我们很快就聊了起来。他们正在度假，特意来岛上享受阳光。我跟他们说起了那座小桥和岛上的美景，他们说午饭后就会过去看看。

I also like to read on the island. I take a book and sit under a tree. The shade is cool and I can read for hours. One day I read a book about a detective. It was very interesting and I didn't want to finish it but I had to go home so I closed the book and took it with me. The island is also a good place to think. Sometimes I go there when I feel lonely or sad. The sound of the waves and the wind helps me feel better.

我也喜欢在岛上看书。我会带上一本书，坐在树下——树荫下很凉爽，我能一看就是好几个小时。有一天，我读了一本侦探小说，内容非常有趣，我实在舍不得读完，但因为必须回家，只好合上书带在身边。这座岛也是个适合思考的地方，有时候我感到孤单或难过，就会来这里。海浪声和风声总能帮我平复心情，感觉好很多。

I can walk along the beach and look at the sea. It makes me feel small but also connected to the world. I like to collect shells and stones from the beach. They are colorful and pretty. I use them to make pictures at home. In the evening I like to watch the sky turns pink and orange and the sea sparkles. I feel lucky to have such a wonderful place near my home. I hope I can go there every day.

我可以沿着海滩漫步，凝视大海。这让我既感到自身的渺小，又觉得与这个世界紧密相连。我喜欢在海滩上捡贝壳和石头，它们色彩斑斓，十分好看。我会把它们带回家，用来拼贴图案。到了傍晚，我喜欢看着天空渐渐染上粉橙色，海面波光粼粼。家附近能有这样一个美好的地方，我觉得自己很幸运，真希望每天都能去那里。
