现在进行时表示现在正在进行的动作或存在的状态。

一、现在进行时的构成

be（am/is/are）+ 现在分词（动词的-ing 形式）：

1. 当主语是 I 时，be 动词用 am。

例如：I am reading a book.（我正在读书。）

2. 当主语是第三人称单数（he、she、it）时，be 动词用 is。

例如：She is singing a song.（她正在唱歌。）

3. 当主语是第二人称（you）或第一、三人称复数（we、they）时，be 动词用 are。

例如：You are playing basketball.（你正在打篮球。）；They are watching TV.（他们正在看电视。）

二、现在进行时的用法

1. 表示此刻正在进行的动作。

I am writing an email now.（我现在正在写一封电子邮件。）

He is talking on the phone.（他正在打电话。）

2. 表示现阶段正在进行的动作，但说话时不一定正在进行。

They are learning Spanish this semester.（他们这学期正在学习西班牙语。）这里强调的是这一阶段的活动，不一定此刻正在学。

3. 与 always、constantly、forever 等副词连用，表示反复出现或习惯性的动作，带有一定的感情色彩，如抱怨、厌烦、赞美等。

She is always helping others.（她总是帮助别人。）这里带有赞美的感情色彩。

4. 表示即将发生的动作，通常用于一些表示位移的动词，如 come、go、leave、arrive 等。

I am leaving for Beijing tomorrow.（我明天要去北京。）

三、现在进行时的时间状语

常与现在进行时连用的时间状语有：now（现在）、at the moment（此刻）、right now（此刻，马上）等。

四、现在进行时的句式变化

1. 否定句：在 be 动词后加 not。

I am not watching TV.（我没在看电视。）

She isn't singing.（她没在唱歌。）

2. 一般疑问句：将 be 动词提到句首。

Are you reading a book?（你在读书吗？）

Is he playing football?（他在踢足球吗？）

3. 特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词 + be + 主语 + 现在分词 + …?

What are you doing now?（你现在在做什么？）

Where is she singing?（她在哪里唱歌？）
